Carly maternity: the day before the baby

I recently had the pleasure of taking maternity photos in Spokane for Carly and Justin. These expecting parents were looking forward to their first baby and I was so happy they spent some time with me to document the excitement.

These photos, taken at Manito Park, were done one day before Carly was set to be induced. They both knew that this was the last day of their life as a family of two and got to enjoy being together before their world changed. I always love documenting milestones in someone’s life and hope that Carly and Justin remember these special moments more clearly because of their photos.

After this photoshoot, Carly and Justin welcomed a sweet baby girl into their life. I’m thrilled for them on welcoming their first born. You can see how excited they both are and the sense of love between them as they get ready for their life to change completely. I look forward to seeing this family grow together.

As I mentioned, these photos were taken at Manito Park in the rose garden. I typically like to shoot in a studio to get that light and airy feeling. However, Manito is too beautiful to pass up, especially on a day like this. I was still able to get that bright, clean, and happy feel with the added benefit of the natural and architectural details of the area.

Congratulations to Carly and Justin on their new baby girl. I’m so glad I was able to capture the day before they met their daughter and take these maternity photos at Manito Park in Spokane. I hope to do more outdoor shoots like this in the future.
