Carly + Justin = Maple

A few weeks ago, I shared a photoshoot I did at Manito Park with Carly & Justin. It was one of my first, official outdoor photoshoot and I had so much fun documenting that special moment with them. Those photos were taken the day before their little baby was delivered. It was the last day before they were officially parents.

Thankfully, they also let me document their newborn photos when their little one arrived. This was Carly & Justin’s first child and they chose a name that’s just as sweet as their baby girl: Maple.

When I first found out about baby Maple’s name, I did a little happy dance. It’s such a unique and beautiful name that’s fitting for this little girl. She did a great job sleeping through the photoshoot and giving her best comfy, relaxed look to the camera.

Baby Maple is a vision in yellow and maroon. The bright colors make her the center of attention in the light and airy newborn photographs.

When I was working with Carly & Justin, I found out that Justin is a hobby woodworker. He hopes to one day be able to do that full-time. With that, it made even more sense to name their baby girl after the beautiful Maple trees.

Every parent knows the excitement of their first child and I’m so happy I could document Carly & Justin’s last day before parenthood and their newborn photos with baby Maple.
