Maternity in Manito: Alexsey & Rigo

It’s no secret that I love doing photoshoots at Manito. If you’ve ever been to this gorgeous park, you’ll understand why. The scenery is dreamy and when I’m able to take photos during golden hour, the lighting is absolutely perfect.

For this Manito Park maternity photoshoot, I worked with expectant parents Alexsey and Rigo.

If you’re someone who is nervous about doing a photoshoot, I’ve got you covered! I direct clients where to put their hands and how to pose so that the entire process feels comfortable. I’ll even come up with fun games that can encourage those authentic smiles and shake away any of the camera fears that come up.

For this maternity photoshoot, Alexsy decided to wear two dresses from my client closet. I know that it can be hard to know what kind of clothing will photograph well and not everyone wants to buy a brand new out just for their photos. That’s why I keep a client closet filled with a variety of styles and colors for everyone in the family. It gives clients a chance to pick from clothing that is pre-approved for the camera but also helps make the moment feel special and new.

That’s especially important with a maternity dress. There’s already so much new clothing to buy when you’re pregnant and then even more when the baby arrives. It’s nice to have maternity dresses ready so clients don’t have to source and buy something new that they won’t wear frequently.
