Fall colors & pumpkins for Maggie’s milk bath

It’s that wonderful time of the year when the trees change colors and there’s a slight chill in the air. Mom Janna wanted to capture the beauty of this time of year for her daughter Maggie’s milk bath session. The oranges and reds are always so beautiful together and made this baby photo shoot a special tribute to Fall.

Not only did we want to incorporate the color of fall, I also really wanted pumpkins to be featured. I found out quickly though that pumpkins will actually sink in a milk bath! That wasn’t going to work. But, thankfully, I found small plastic pumpkins from Joann’s. These were the perfect addition to the milk bath and floated right to the top.

We had lots of fun watching Maggie play in the milk bath, but that fun was made extra special thanks to a visitor we had. Maggie’s grandma was in town during the photoshoot and we were so glad she was able to come along. It was so fun for everyone to see Maggie having a blast playing in the water.

Maggie’s purple dress was also a great addition to the shoot. The fabric added a new texture and color that looked great alongside all the fall accents.

I might start recommending more people schedule their baby photoshoots when family is in town. It’s a fun activity for everyone and is something special that won’t just be remembered by the experience but also in the photos.
